That sure buys a lot of Fritos!

Last month, Pepsico (PEP) announced that Al Bru, Chairman and CEO of Frito-Lay would be stepping down early next year. Though the release noted that Bru, a 28-year veteran who will serve as Vice Chairman through Feb. 1, would continue to serve as a consultant, it didn’t mention how much he would be paid. That was buried in Bru’s consulting contract at the end of Pepsico’s Q filed last week. Under the agreement, Pepsico will pay Bru $160,000 a month through Feb. 1, 2008 for unspecified consulting services, which surely buys a lot of Fritos!
