It looks like do-it-yourself retailer Home Depot (HD) has decided to apply its successful retailing strategy to its SEC filings. In its Q filed yesterday, it has only 1 page of footnotes, and most of that is taken up with its options chart — a chart that doesn’t even provide all the information investors need to see how the company is expensing its options. Instead, the company refers investors to its K, filed back in early April. A bit more information in the Q would be much appreciated! Reading these documents shouldn’t be as complicated as putting together a barbeque grill!
