		<description>Stock prices are going down because the Federal Reserve created artificially low interest rates for years to prop up a housing bubble, which led to inflated stock prices, market distortions and malinvestments until this burst.   

Short sellers and speculators are merely being used as scapegoats for the government to impose further regulations on a free market (sort of) and thereby grant more power to the Federal Reserve System.  End the Federal Reserve System to have a truly free market economy, which will correct and purge itself periodically of malinvestments.</description>

		<description>This is such a joke. Retail brokerage accounts cannot do naked shorting. So it was the heavy hitters -- the major investment banks, brokerages, and hedge funds -- who themselves were doing it.</description>
