What writing on the wall is that? 45% capital gains taxes? Are the Democrats not going to spend money, so that no private firms get contracts? The fact of the matter is that many Americans work for firms that benefit from government contracts (mine did) and many more Americans work for corporations that are getting crushed by our insane tax code.

The job of the POTUS is not to make the world a better place. It is to advance the interests of the U.S.A.

Prosperous "again"? Like the recessionary first two years of the Clinton administration which finally had its largess restrained by Newt Gingrich and Congress? Back to the prosperous Jimmuh Carter years? What prosperity is that?

Good, I'm glad they see the writing on the wall. We are going to change the way politics is done in the White House. With the new leadership of Barack Obama and the hard work of the American middle class, we will transform this country and become, once again, the greatest democracy ever formed. I watched most of the DNC on CSPAN without having to wade through the comments, so-called analysis, and jeering of the so-called "liberal" media. I heard the message, we have an opportunity before us to make the change we need to be prosperous again, to dream and realize a better world for our children and grandchildren. YES WE CAN!
