It wasn't meant to be a critique of the veep as much as it was an observation on timing on the Friday night filing and the Monday morning hunting trip. I thought the new disclosure about the government's view on Halliburton's level of cooperation was merely interesting -- not incriminating -- as were the details about the DOJ which include dates when Cheney was still running the show there. But I can see how some people might have a different POV on this one.

In contrast with your other posts, I do not find anything here incriminating -- or even interesting. No one is alleged to have misbehaved. No corporate malfeasance is insinuated.

Obviously from your text, you would find fault with the Vice President if there were an opportunity, but you cite none here. In fact, I cannot find any reason for you to bring up his name in your piece at all inasmuch as there is nothing anywhere in your report here on Haliburton having anything to do with him whatever.

Thank you for your great service.
