I had my teeth pulled when I was a teenager, I was in tremendous pain before the extraction. They put me under for the procedure and when I awoke, I felt the empty space where my 2 teeth were and was feeling no pain. Then a tremendous bout of laughter overtook me, for about 5 minutes I could not stop laughing! I could tell my father was a little embarrassed as we got on the elevator to leave the building. The laughter started up again when a passenger said something to me and I continued like this all the way to the car.
The second procedure to take out the other 2 teeth wasn't nearly as good.

Get well soon!

I had mine taken out a while back. The surgery part wasn't too bad, but I was so whacked out on pain killers that I had a hard time even eating soup (feeble lip control). I'll never forget the Dr's description of the procedure: "You'll have an idea whats going on, like someone banging around in your attic, but you just won't care."

Unfortunately, during the procedure, they got a nerve in my chin, so I can't feel the left part of my chin very well. Makes for cool stabby party tricks though.

Thanks, Zack, Alan and Brad for the good wishes. Have to say that Alan's story definitely sounds like the makings of a good indie screenplay.

No wisdom teeth horror stories, I'm afraid. Everything came "out" OK. I had all four done at once.

I follow you for SEC filings. I don't think I could read them myself WITHOUT Vicodin.

It had to be done cheap as I had no money.Lived in SF at the time.Used some Chinese "doctor" and I recall him chiseling out a tooth and my body jumped because I could feel it! BANG-CRACK!
I heard a voice saying "give him more" and the next thing I knew I was being helped into a cab by this huge lesbian friend who got me back to my apartment.I had asked to save the teeth and got three of four. The other was shattered.I woke to find flies feasting on the roots of the teeth next to my bed.
I had to go to work the next day as I did not have any sick time.
Other than one cavity in my life, that is all the dental, other than cleanings,I have ever had to have, thank goodness!
